No Frills Autoclaving from Priorclave
With the international launch of their new OPAL range of laboratory autoclaves at the ARABLAB exhibition in Dubai in February 2008, Priorclave aim to provide a low-cost alternative to the increasingly sophisticated and complex equipment generally available in the market. The offered range starts with a 35 litre Bench-top model with 55 and 95 litre top loading models and is completed by a 125 litre Bench-top model with an optional mounting trolley, which will be on display at the exhibition. The range has been specifically designed to carry out the basic everyday functions of Laboratory Autoclaving such as growth media preparation and laboratory waste sterilisation and is intended for laboratories with a requirement but not a high demand for these operations to be carried out in their own laboratory. All autoclaves in the range feature automatic free steaming and a thermal safety lock and are managed by a slimmed down version of Priorclave’s tried and tested TACTROL microprocessor control system. They will operate up to 138oC – 2.4 Bar. The models are based around Priorclave’s existing product range and so are fully compliant and CE marked in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (97/23/EC) and other relevant directives and standards. A pdf data sheet for this range is available
Priorclave anticipate that this low cost range will form a useful addition to their existing range of laboratory autoclaves from 40 to 700 litres. On these fully featured autoclaves the full version of the TACTROL control system allows all of them, from the 40L Bench-top model to large rectangular profile autoclaves with powered doors to operate with the full range of options and accessories. These include a variety of cooling systems, vacuum systems, program memories, printers and more sophisticated monitoring systems.
