Product Description

All too often labs shopping for benchtop research-grade autoclaves end up being sold either a glorified pressure cooker or a low-end tabletop medical steriliser.  The former lack the programmable controls a lab needs (in fact, they often lack even the rudimentary controls of a toaster oven). The latter are made with lightweight plumbing, pressure vessels, and electrical systems that aren’t up to research tasks. Since they were originally intended for dental offices and other clinics, their control systems are often limited to a few pre-programmed, medical type cycles. “Low-cost” dental-style benchtop autoclaves used for daily research tasks often begin to break down in just 24 months, and rarely last longer than five years.

Premium Benchtop Sterilizers

For more than 25 years Priorclave has been building some of the world’s finest research-grade sterilisers. Our 40L Benchtop and 60L Benchtop compact research-grade autoclaves feature fully customisable digital control systems.

Auto-waterfill

Automatically re-fills the autoclave chamber while the door is open ready for the next cycle. Requires a water supply. (Fitted as standard to electrically heated vacuum models)

Close

Cycle Repeat

Particularly useful for product testing, this option allows the autoclave to run one cycle after the other without stopping. The total number of cycles can be set from the control panel. For electrically heated Priorclaves a water supply is required. (Not suitable for Distilled, Ultra Pure or RO water supplies.)

Close

Air Ballast System

Controls distortion of semi-rigid containers, pouches and blister-packs as the autoclave cools by pressurising the autoclave chamber with air, balancing the internal pressure inside the containers, pouches or blister packs. In autoclaves with water cooling jackets it controls volume losses when rapidly cooling liquid loads. Requires an extremal air supply at a minimum pressure of 3 BarG.

Close

Accelerated Media Cooling

Accelerated Media Cooling – can reduce cooling times for liquid loads by up to 50% (Depending on load size and type volume loss may exceed 5%). Requires a minimum 5 program memory and Performance testing to set up the cycle parameter. Includes an air intake filter.

Close

Adaptation for special water supplies.

Electrically Heated Priorclaves require soft water with a conductivity of a minimum of 100 micro Siemens to work correctly. Various adaptations can be made to pipe work, fittings and water detection systems for Ultra pure water supplies if required.

Close

Additional Options Kit for Health Service Customers

Includes Tactrol Self Monitoring, Mechanical Cycle Counter and other options according to model to assist with the requirements of some health service installations.

Close

Air Ballasting with built-in air compressor

Controls distortion of semi-rigid containers, pouches and blister-packs as the autoclave cools by pressurising the autoclave chamber with air, balancing the internal pressure inside the containers, pouches or blister packs. Includes a quiet running air compressor mounted, where possible, inside the autoclave body.

Close

Condensate Collection Bottle

Where a drain is not available the autoclave exhaust is collected outside the autoclave for periodic disposal. Not suitable for vacuum models or sterilising waste / discard loads.

Close

Customer requested Pressure Vessel Approval

Form X Pressure Test Certification – Individually witnessed Hydrostatic Test with stamped certificate. MUST be requested at time of purchase.

Close

F0 Integration

Reduces overall cycle time by including time spent at high temperatures during heating and cooling in each cycle. Most suitable for standard, repeated loads.

Close

Factory Acceptance Test

Factory Acceptance test carried out with the customer at Priorclave’s factory after manufacture and before despatch.

Close

Graphic Recorder Ethernet Port

Allows easy connection and integration to an internal computer network for remote monitoring and storage of records.

Close

Heater Protection

Backup thermostatic protection for the autoclave’s low water detection system.

Close

Installation – UK Mainland

Autoclave installation by Priorclave trained technicians to pre-installed drains, water and electrical supplies.

Close

IQ/OQ/PQ Documentation

Preparation of detailed IQ/OQ Documentation for testing purposes

Close

Load Sensed Process Timing

Guarantees sterilising times by delaying the sterilising start time until a temperature sensor placed in the load has heated to sterilisation temperature.

Close

Manual Drain

A manually operated valve is fitted to allow the autoclave vessel to be drain for regular cleaning.

Close

Mechanical Cycle Counter

Provides a mechanical backup to the autoclave control system’s built in cycle counter.

Close

Operator Identification

PIN number identification of operators for each cycle. This information is recorded in the autoclave cycle log.

Close

Performance Testing

As a UKAS accredited Laboratory Priorclave can provide performance testing for your autoclave. Cycles with a specified number of loads are run and logged with multiple temperature sensors around the load and autoclave chamber. From the test results the cycle can be optimised to achieve sterilisation in the shortest possible cycle time. Following successful testing a UKAS certificate is issued.

Close

Pneumatic Valves

Improves reliability and operation of complex Priorclaves. The standard electrical valves are replaced with pneumatically operated valves. Requires an air supply or alternatively a small quiet air compressor can be installed inside the body of the autoclave.

Close

Recorder – Circular Chart

Provides a temperature record of autoclave cycles independent of the autoclave control system onto a paper chart. Unless otherwise specified a fixed temperature probe is fitted. Multi-channel versions are also available.

Close

Recorder – Graphic – Logger

Provides a temperature and pressure record of autoclave cycles independent of the autoclave control system. Cycle records are graphically displayed and saved to a log file. Unless otherwise specified a fixed temperature probe is fitted along with a pressure transducer. Further recording channels can be provided along with the option of an Ethernet port for connection to a computer network.

Close

Recorder – Strip Chart

Provides a temperature record of autoclave cycles independent of the autoclave control system onto a paper chart. Unless otherwise specified a fixed temperature probe is fitted. Multi-channel versions are also available.

Close

Serial Communications Package

The autoclave is fitted with an external serial communication interface socket for connection to a suitable PC or laptop. The package includes a serial cable and software.

Close

Setting Lock

Tamper proofing of program settings for single program Priorclaves – Included on models fitted with multi-program memory options.

Close

Single Phase Connection

For 100 to 200L Priorclaves where a three phase supply is not available the autoclave can be wired to run at two thirds heating power from a single phase power supply rated at 32A. Should a three phase supply become available at a later time the autoclave can quite easily be re-wired for re-connection.

Close

Steam / Electric Heating

For Steam Heated autoclaves this allows the autoclave to continue to be used when external steam is not available.

Close

Steam Supply Set

Control and other valves required to supply a Steam Heated Priorclave with dry saturated steam at the correct pressure from an external steam supply. The autoclave is not fitted with this but if there is an existing steam supply set in place this can be used to supply the autoclave’s steam.

Close

TACTROL Self – Monitoring System

Provides an additional level of control protection. The Tactrol system scans all input channels to detect abnormalities and will abort the cycle with a displayed, logged and printed fault code and description if one is detected.

Close

Touch Screen Option

Tactrol Touch Control System – Full colour Touch Screen Control System with all the usual Priorclave Tactrol control system features in touch screen format.

Close

Water Softener

Ion Exchange water softening system which provides water of the correct quality to run the Priorclave – requires regular refilling with salt to maintain water quality.
