Filters air re-entering the vessel during the cooling stage of the cycle. This is particularly important when sterilising ÔpreparativeÕ loads to prevent contamination by airborne particles. Replacement filters are available from Priorclave Limited and can be easily fitted by the user.

This service provides a means of assessing the efficiency of autoclaving cycles against the actual loads being processed. A sophisticated 16 channel Data Logger is connected to the autoclave and 14 thermocouples, an RTD Reference Thermometer and a Pressure Transducer are strategically positioned to record temperatures from the most suitable locations. The test methods are determined under our UKAS Approved Performance Testing Manual.
The price includes production of a fully detailed certificate and report. On average 1load test can be completed on the first day (allowing for setting up and calibrating time0 and 2 test loads on subsequent days.
Testing to HTM2010 is also available.

PC/TFS/000 Automatic Timed Freesteaming Automatic Timed Freesteaming
To assist with the complete sterilisation of the many problematic loads, which require a period of free steaming before the vessel, is pressurised to sterilising conditions. The freesteam period allows the load to be fully penetrated with steam and expel pockets of air, which inhibit the sterilisation process. The Timer starts once a temperature of 1040C is reached and after the timed period closes the vent valve automatically to allow pressure to build up.
Included as standard on all Priorclave models.

Using a liquid ring vacuum pump multiple vacuum stages are interspersed with heating stages and pulsed freesteaming to achieve steam penetration of the load.
A 5 Program Memory unit is fitted with this option as there are fixed parameters to enable the vacuum options. Pulsed Freesteaming is similarly included.
Vacuum Assisted Cooling
At the end of the sterilising cycle the vacuum pump rapidly reduces the pressure in the chamber, causing the fluids present in the waste load to evaporate, initiating a cooling action in the load. The cooling phase of the cycle is thus typically reduced to approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
This cooling system is not suitable for bottled fluids where the contents are intended for further use.
When a Tactrol Data Printer is supplied with the Combined Vacuum option, the Printer will also display the chamber pressure as part of the printout.
